Meditations on the Hebrew Letters

Level 2A — A 22-Class Deep Dive into the Mystical Power of the Aleph Bet

The Hebrew letters are not merely symbols on a page. They are living spiritual forces — the building blocks of Creation itself, each one carrying its own unique Divine energy, healing power, and path to connection with Hashem.

In this comprehensive 22-class course, you will journey through every letter of the Aleph Bet — one letter per class — through the lens of authentic Chassidic wisdom, the Baal Shem Tov's living teachings, and the ancient system of Olam, Shana, and Neshama: World, Time, and Soul.

By the end of this course, you will never look at a Hebrew letter the same way again.

This Course is for You if...

  • You are drawn to the mystical dimension of Torah — Kabbalah, Chassidut, and the Baal Shem Tov's teachings

  • You want a structured, meditative journey through the entire Aleph Bet — one letter at a time

  • You are seeking a deeper understanding of how each letter relates to your body, your time, and your soul

  • You have completed Levels 1 and 2 of the Jewish Mindfulness Path and are ready to deepen your practice

 WHAT MAKES THIS COURSE UNIQUE

The Olam, Shana, Neshama Framework

At the heart of this course is one of the most profound systems in Jewish mystical tradition — the Sefer Yetzirah's classification of each Hebrew letter according to three dimensions:

  • Olam — World: how the letter manifests in the physical universe and the dimensions of space

  • Shana — Time: how the letter's energy expresses itself through the cycle of the year and the Jewish calendar

  • Neshama — Soul: how the letter lives within the human soul — your unique spiritual character and inner world

Combined with the Baal Shem Tov's teachings on each letter as a living channel of Divine light, this framework transforms the Aleph Bet from an alphabet into a complete map of existence — and a complete map of yourself.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • The mystical meaning and spiritual character of all 22 Hebrew letters

CURRICULUM (22 classes, one per letter)

Course Curriculum — 22 Classes of 75 Minutes Each

Each class explores one Hebrew letter through its Chassidic teachings, Olam-Shana-Neshama classification, guided visualization meditation, and embodied Aleph Bet movement practice.

Class 1: Aleph (א) — Unity Consciousness

The silent letter that contains all sound. Aleph is the oneness of Hashem before creation — Echad, unity. Learn to rest in undivided awareness and experience the stillness at the heart of all existence.

Class 2: Bet (ב) — Creating Sacred Space

The first letter of the Torah — Bereishit. Bet means 'house' and teaches us how to make our inner world a dwelling place for holiness. Learn to sanctify your personal space, your body, and your consciousness.

Class 3: Gimel (ג) — Acts of Loving-Kindness

Gimel is the letter of Gemilut Chassadim — giving and flowing. Learn how to become a vessel for Divine generosity and discover how acts of loving-kindness transform your own soul as much as the recipient's.

Class 4: Dalet (ד) — Cultivating Humility

Dalet means 'door' — the one who is open, receptive, and humble. Explore the Jewish path of Anavah, true humility, as the gateway to receiving Divine blessing and wisdom.

Class 5: Hey (ה) — Breath Awareness Meditation

Hey is the letter of Divine breath — it is the breath of Hashem that animates all life. Learn the ancient practice of breath awareness as a form of Jewish meditation, connecting each inhale and exhale to the Divine Presence.

Class 6: Vav (ו) — Bridging Heaven and Earth

Vav means 'hook' — it is the connector, the bridge between spiritual and physical reality. Learn to live with one foot in heaven and one on earth, integrating your spiritual practice into every moment of daily life.

Class 7: Zayin (ז) — The Spiritual Warrior

Zayin is the letter of Shabbat and of the sword — the spiritual warrior who fights for holiness in everyday life. Discover your inner warrior and learn to protect and sanctify what is most precious to your soul.

Class 8: Chet (ח) — Transcending the Ego

Chet is the letter of Chayim — life — and of Chet, sin. Learn the profound relationship between ego and transcendence, and how embracing true life means releasing what limits us from our highest expression.

Class 9: Tet (ט) — Finding Hidden Blessings

Tet is the letter of Tov — goodness — but its Tov is hidden inside. This class teaches the Chassidic art of finding the concealed blessing within every challenge and difficulty in your life.

Class 10: Yod (י) — The Divine Spark

The smallest letter carries the greatest light. Yod is the point of Divine consciousness in every Jewish soul — the spark of Godliness that cannot be extinguished. Learn to awaken and tend your inner Yod.

Class 11: Kaf (כ) — Surrender and Receptivity

Kaf means 'palm of the hand' — open, receptive, surrendered. This class explores the spiritual practice of letting go of control and opening yourself to receive Divine guidance and blessing.

Class 12: Lamed (ל) — Heart-Centered Learning

Lamed is the tallest letter and the letter of learning — Limmud. Explore the Jewish ideal of Torah study as a heart practice, not just a mental one, and learn to integrate wisdom into the depths of your being.

Class 13: Mem (מ) — Emotional Purification

Mem is the letter of water — Mayim — and of the womb. This class works with the water element for emotional healing and purification, learning to flow with and through difficult feelings rather than being swept away by them.

Class 14: Nun (נ) — Faith Through Darkness

Nun is associated with the 50th gate — the place beyond all regular attainment. This class explores the profound Jewish teachings on Emunah in the darkness, trusting Hashem even when the path is invisible.

Class 15: Samech (ס) — Divine Support

Samech is a closed circle — it has no beginning and no end, representing Hashem's all-encompassing support. Learn to feel and trust the infinite circle of Divine care that surrounds you at every moment.

Class 16: Ayin (ע) — Inner Vision

Ayin means 'eye' — but also Ayin, nothingness. This class explores the spiritual practice of seeing beyond the surface of reality into the deeper Divine dimension of every person, situation, and moment.

Class 17: Pey (פ) — Sacred Speech

Pey means 'mouth' — the letter of speech, prayer, and sacred communication. Explore the profound Chassidic teachings on the power of words and learn to elevate your speech into a continuous act of holiness.

Class 18: Tzadi (צ) — Walking the Path of Righteousness

Tzadi is the letter of the Tzaddik — the righteous one who walks with integrity and spiritual purpose. This class explores what it means to be a Tzaddeket in everyday life and how to align your actions with your soul's deepest values.

Class 19: Kof (ק) — Hollowing for Holiness

Kof represents the back of the head — the subconscious dimensions of the soul. This class works with releasing what is hidden below awareness, creating inner space for kedushah to fill.

Class 20: Resh (ר) — Elevating Consciousness

Resh means 'head' and is the letter of elevated mind and elevated consciousness. Learn how to lift your perspective from the narrow individual view to the expansive Divine view — seeing your life through Hashem's eyes.

Class 21: Shin (ש) — Transformative Fire

Shin is the letter of fire — Esh — and of Shaddai, one of Hashem's names. This class works with the transformative power of Divine fire: burning away what no longer serves and kindling the flame of the soul's deepest purpose.

Class 22: Tav (ת) — Integration and Completion

Tav is the last letter — the seal of truth (Emet). In this final integrative class, bring together the journey through all 22 letters, weaving the complete tapestry of the Aleph Bet into a living spiritual practice that is uniquely yours.
